The New Testament word for “pastor” can literally be translated as “shepherd.” The Bible teaches that these “shepherds” are to care for, equip, train, and love the people of God.
At Milestone, we understand that following after the way of Jesus is a journey, and all of us are at different points along the way. Therefore, we don’t place our pastors on pedestals as if they are “above” the rest of the church; we do, however, respect their calling and gifting for the propagation of the Gospel and the edification of our church community. Josh is married to Emily Crain, an incredible woman who is full of compassion and enjoys life to the fullest. In the last five years he has taken up scuba diving and backpacking, been to a U2 concert, climbed the Great Wall of China, learned how to order at Starbucks, joined the Apple Macintosh revolution, built three rooms of Ikea furniture, trained for a marathon, and held a dead alligator.
