pastors

The New Testament word for “pastor” can literally be translated as “shepherd.” The Bible teaches that these “shepherds” are to care for, equip, train, and love the people of God.

At Milestone, we understand that following after the way of Jesus is a journey, and all of us are at different points along the way. Therefore, we don’t place our pastors on pedestals as if they are “above” the rest of the church; we do, however, respect their calling and gifting for the propagation of the Gospel and the edification of our church community. Below you can learn a little more about the pastors of Milestone Church.

Josh Crain moved to Springfield in order to pastor Milestone in the summer of 2008. Having been active in Christian ministry for over 10 years, he has a passion for authentically living out the way of Jesus Christ and connecting with a culture that has deemed Christianity to be largely irrelevant.

Josh is married to Emily Crain, an incredible woman who is full of compassion and enjoys life to the fullest. In the last five years he has taken up scuba diving and backpacking, been to a U2 concert, climbed the Great Wall of China, learned how to order at Starbucks, joined the Apple Macintosh revolution, built three rooms of Ikea furniture, trained for a marathon, and held a dead alligator.

Zach Bailey lived in Texas, then Springfield, then Texas, and now Springfield. There's something about this city that sucks him in like light in a black hole; and we're excited to have him.

Much more should be said about Zach; after all, he's talented, funny, and dashingly good-looking. But he still hasn't turned in his bio or photo for the website, so this is all you're getting.

Oh, and when he's not procrastinating on his photo and bio, Zach is doing a mind-blowingly good job of playing music at Milestone that points to God, community, and the human condition.
