Searching-to-Belong

We don't want to be alone. But when it comes to belonging, we're confused. And our culture is confused. We are together, all alone.

If there is one conversation with which the church must wrestle in new ways, it is the quesiton, "Who is my neighbor?" Who belongs? For whom am I responsible? And who is responsible for me? How can we help each other develop a healthy experience of belonging and community in our lives?

11/8/2009 – The Death of the Front Porch, Josh Crain — sermon length is 38:21 minutes
In part 1 of the series Searching to Belong, Josh discusses what it looks like to live in radical community and to hold our possessions with open hands. How did Jesus redefine family and what on earth did he mean in Mark 10:17-31 when he said we could gain 100 times more possessions in this lifetime?
